Nicole Descoteaux is a master hairdresser (cut, color, style) with over 37 years of industry experience. Nicole spent 15 years as a master stylist at Butterfly Studio Salon in NYC, where she served as the salon’s Head of Education for both the haircutting and styling departments. She then spent three years at Janet St. Paul Studio in Austin, TX.

Nicole specializes in Coiffé-Décoiffé (“messy look”). Nicole is sought after for her curated cut and color jobs that give her clients lived-in, sexy, carefree hair.

Throughout her career, Nicole has created hairstyles for celebrity appearances and runaway shows. Nicole’s styles are regularly featured in magazines, including Allure, Harper’s Bazaar, Good Housekeeping and W Magazine. Read Nicole’s interviews in Bustle, Allure, and Vanity Fair Italy.

With the Miguel Thomas Hair Salon in Chicago, Nicole provided backstage celebrity styling for NBC studio shows, including Oprah Winfrey.

In 1998, Nicole moved to the center of it all: New York City. She continued her career alongside celebrity stylist John Barrett at Bergdorf Goodman, where she styled for Caroline Herrera and Badgley Mishka runway shows, as well as Vanity Fair’s party prep salon. During Nicole’s time in NYC, her extensive celebrity styling clients list included Annette Lauer for Town and Country Magazine, Catherine Zeta-Jones’ wedding, Martha Stewart, Lauren Bacall, Jane Seymour, Laura Dern, Elle MacPherson, the Oscar De La Renta runway show, and Elizabeth Vargas for Good Morning America.
